Skegness Carnival 2013 - Sunday August 11th 2013

Carnival Queen and Princess

The 2013 Carnival Queen and Princess Competition will be taking place on 20th July 2013 at Grand Central Skegness at 7pm we welcome anyone to come along and support the contestants, It will be a fun filled evening with a live acts performing.

Monday 12th August

Expected programme:

11.00 am to 5.00 pm.  Art Exhibition - location St. Mary's Church, Winthorpe.

11.00 am.  Pavement Artists contests. All ages welcome, prizes for the winners.

Free entry on the day located onPrince Edward Walk just north of the Pier.

2.00 pm.  Sand Sculpture contest, prizes for the winners, All ages welcome. Free entry on the day.

Location - Central Beach.

7 .00 pm.Xtreme Sports Venue for a skateboard an  d rollerblade contest.

Organised by the management of the Xtreme Sports Venue. Prizes for the winners.

Details at the Xtreme sports venue at the North end of North Parade.

Tuesday 13th August

11.00 am to 5.00 pm. Art Exhibition - location St. Mary's Church, Winthorpe.

2.00 pm, Baby Show (sign in from 1.00 pm) On the Band Stand in Tower Gardens.

Free entry on the day. Prizes for winners.

Categories, 0 to 6 months, 6 to 12 months, 12 to 24 months

Wednesday 14th August

A wonderful day out in the fresh sea air of Skegness.

Known as "999" Gala - this is a real opportunity to meet the emergency services - experience behind the scenes preparation and dedication…

11.00 am to 5.00 pm,  Art Exhibition - location St. Mary's Church, Winthorpe.

10am to 4pm.  Gala day and 999 show.

A great day out for the whole family - join us at the Pier field adjacent to Skegness Pier.

Thursday 15th August

Fun in the Sun continues with:

2.00pm (sign in at 1pm) Tiny Tots (2-5 years) Bandstand/Tower Gardens

Miss Seaside (3-10 years) Bandstand/Tower Gardens

Super Heroes (3-10 years) Bandstand/Tower Gardens

7.00pm Fancy Dress & Disco The Grand Central Complex.

11.00 am.  Fun in the Park - location - Tower Gardens

11.00am “Hotel’s in Bloom” Presentation to winning hotels

11.00 am to 5.00 pm.  Art Exhibition - location St. Mary's Church, Winthorpe.

2.00 pm Sign in at 1.00 pm for the competition of the best of:

Tiny Tots (2 to 5 yrs)

Miss Seaside (3 to 10 years)

Super heroes (3 to 10 years)

Free entry on the day.

All events located on the bandstand in Tower Gardens - Prizes for the winners

Into the evening - Fancy Dress contest and Disco at The Grand Central Complex

(located on Grand Parade close to the Pier).

Trophies for winners free entry on the night.

Friday 16th August

So - we come to the last day of Skegness Carnival - the culmination of a fantastic week.

11.00 am to 5.00 pm.  Art Exhibition - location St. Mary's Church, Winthorpe.

10.00 am to 4.00 pm.  Gala show in Tower Gardens with charity stalls and entertainment.

Dog Obedience Class (Sign in at Noon - show starts 1.00 pm)*

Pet Show organised by: Digby's Pet and Aquatics.
